This was a short first video but in the future I plan on going more in depth. Come along for the first faith talk! I invite you to grab your coffee or tea and chat with me on the topic, “is Jesus not worthy?”.

Key Verse
In this faith talk, we focus on John 15:15-17:
My Thoughts on, “is Jesus not worthy?”
As I was listening to this sermon at church, I felt the Spirit so gently but heavily pressing evangelism on my heart and my love for Jesus. I desire everyone to have a friendship with Jesus because I have tasted and have seen the goodness of Him and I know how He can change your life. He radically changed mine. And I thought, there is no better way for me to share that love and tell others about Him, than through what I am trying to accomplish with Wholesome Pathways. So, after a lot of off and on posting through all the adventures we are on, I am sticking to becoming more consistent with posting on here for His glory.
Not only did He speak to me about evangelism, but of the true meaning to be His friend. It is like the old hymn, but also a more recent one from Elevation Worship and Maverick City, “Talking to Jesus” and a part of the song goes, “what a friend we have in Jesus, what a friend we have in Jesus, oh”. I totally hope you sang that as well, because I did! If you are not familiar with it, give it a listen here!
I have been trying to steward my relationship with the Lord in such a deep way but as that man spoke in church, I realized how deeper I could go in my friendship with Jesus by being a friend to Him as He is a friend to me. As I would be a friend to one of you. And isn’t He worthy of it all? Of our all? I know for me personally, He is the reason I have made it where I am today and how I get through the hard days of motherhood. He is the best listener, He gives me peace in the midst of chaos, and His love is so much greater than I can ever comprehend. But He wants to do the same for you, in your life!
Final Thoughts For You
As mentioned in the video, I would challenge you to think of two thoughts…
- What does it mean to you to call Jesus your friend?
- How can you change your mindset of following Jesus from it being sacrificial to it being a privilege?
This is not a challenge for only you, dear friend, but for myself as well. I hope to grow deeper in my friendship with Jesus; to lean on Him more, to encourage Him more, to defend Him more boldly and with joy. It is a daily commitment to work on my friendship with Him like I would with some of my closest friends. I hope you feel inspired and challenged to do the same. There is such beauty in living out the perspective of following Jesus as a privilege rather than a sacrifice. After all, is Jesus not worthy of our best? Of our love? Of our praise and adoration? If He is our closest friend, we would greatly desire to shower Him with all the praise and love we could offer!
Thank you for joining me on the first faith talk! I hope to see you in the next one. Much love!
