Every now and then I like to change my lock screen to another wallpaper of inspiration and encouragement. I found there is nothing more encouraging than seeing a Bible verse on my lock screen. Not only does this help me memorize Scripture, but it focuses me back to where my hope and strength is found. In God. I started to customize my own lock screens to have the verses that spoke to me on my lock screen. I wanted to take a look into Isaiah 26:4 and share why this verse stood out to me. I have also added the wallpaper later in the post for you to download and use yourself!
Isaiah 26:4 (NIV)
Why this verse spoke to me:
Sometimes trusting the Lord can be hard. I have found myself saying I trust in the Lord, but then not fully trusting in the Lord. But half trust, is not trusting at all. For instance, I would say I trust the Lord, but then I would be skeptical and doubtful of seeing the Lord move in my life. How is that trust? It is not. One day, I was feeling discouraged and read this verse. I felt convicted for not truly trusting the Lord and truly surrendering to Him. God is working. God is moving. God is with you. God is with me.
When I read this verse, I felt the Holy Spirit speak to me and call me to fully trust and surrender in the Lord because He is the Rock eternal. Rocks do not break, rocks do not change, rocks are solid, strong, and stable. And that is who our Lord Jesus Christ is, which is why we have every reason to put our full trust in the Lord.
How I made this wallpaper:
I took this photo on a walk my husband and I took for one of our dates (which is few and far in between, so we cherish them when we get them). These flowers were absolutely beautiful and I loved the brick layout of the landscape. I chose this photo for this verse because it has that brick foundation. And why not put an encouraging verse on such a beautiful background? I hope you like the wallpaper as much as I do!
